Warped Tour 08 Milwaukee 8/1 Warped Tour 08 was so much fun!
We got up at around 4 in the morning, got ready, and left at like 6. We got there around 10 luckily, were pretty close to the beginning of the line to get in. Once we got in, Mayday Parade was about to play so we watched them. Then when they got done we walked around for about an hour and wrote down all the set times. Forever The Sickest Kids was playing acoustic at the myspace tent at one, so around 12:15 we decided to head over there so we got a good spot right in the front:] They were amazingg. They put on such a fun show and they played Hey Brittany, Woah Oh, Believe Me I'm Lying, She's A Lady, and I'm pretty sure that was it. Then after that we were going to stay and try to meet them, but it was super crowded and we had a feeling we'd see them walking around later in the day anyways, so we just went to walk around. While we were walking around, we saw Pierce The Veil by their merch tent, so we talked to them for a bit. And we also saw Jac Vanek by her booth so I bought a bracelet and took a pic w/ her. Then, we noticed Fred from The Color Fred was by his tent too, so we got a pic w/ him. Then we found a few friends who wanted us to watch The Devil Wears Prada w/ them, but right when their set started, me and my friend got pushed into the most pit, which was crazyy, i tried really hard to get out of it but i kept getting bigger so it was like impossible, and some girl fell into me and hit her face into my knee really hard, and got up w/ a really bloody nose and she was crying hardd, i felt really bad but there was nothing i could do because i kept getting pushed around. So i hope she was ok.. So we decided to leave once we finally got out of the most pit because we didn't want to die haha. So then Motion City Soundtrack was next. The were pretty good, but we only caught the last two songs:( After that, we met Greeley Estates. Then, we watched Between The Trees at the Ernie Ball stage. Then the Audition played after them, they are so energetic on stage and are really fun to watch, I would definitely go see them again. They played a cover of "cry me a river", warm me up, don't be so hard, you've made us conscious, and hell to sell. Then, my favorite show of the day by far, Forever The Sickest Kids! While they were setting up, a guy in a costume passed out big posters, i got one, but it got destroyed and ripped out of my arm before they even started playing lol. I got right up in the front and center for their whole set, but it was crazyy. They definitely should have played on a bigger stage. They played Woah Oh, Hey Brittany, My Worst.., Believe Me I'm Lying, and ended the set with She's A Lady. They have so much energy on stage and John came right into the crowd and at the end i caught Austin's guitar pick^_^. I almost caught John's shirt but it was too far above my head for me to catch it, lol. But yea, if you've never seen them live, i suggest you do as soon as they come to a town near you! They put on a very memorable show and are probably the sweetest guys ever. After FTSK we went to watch Cobra Starship. We missed the first two songs, but they played Paparazzi, Snakes on a Plane (w/ william beckett!), The City is at War, and Church of Hot Addiction. Then, after they played, we went over to the other main stage to watch The Academy Is play. They played About a Girl, Slow Down, Big Mess.., Neighbors, Checkmarks, and I think they played one more but i can't remember. But during the end of their last song, a really wierd cloud/storm came through and people were freaking out. It was really wierd, it was kinda like a wind storm/mini tornado. But a lot of bands that had merch tents outside started packing up so things didn't blow away. Me and my friend just ran to where they had all the merch tents inside.. While we were in there, we met Austin from FTSK:] He was sooo friendly, and loved the gift I gave them(random bags of candy, including peach o's) haha. We talked to him for a few minutes and then he showed me this little stuffed peach o thing that he had and even smelled like peaches hah, it was pretty sweet. Then he signed our stuff and took a picture, and we left cause people were surrounding him like crazyy. Then after we left his booth, we went to talk to Andy, All Time Low's merch guy. He's super friendly and gave me extra ATL posters cause i gave him a 5 dollar tip. lol. We got pics with him and then went to some more merch tables and bought a few GK shirts. Thenn, the storm/cloud thing kinda passed over so we went back outside where we found Juliet(Automatic Loveletter), two members of Jet Lag Gemini, Every Avenue, Matt from Relient K, and Brooks from Mayday Parade. Then we decided to watch Angels and Airwaves play a song. And after that we wanted to try to find the rest of FTSK, so we went back to their tent, and on the way, we spotted John walking around w/ a garbage bag recycling. So we helped in recycle for a bit, and something punctured the bag, and it started leaking pop/random liquid out of the side and it was all over his leg. So once he got rid of that, we took a pictures and i had him sign my warped tour book. By that time it was like 7:45 so we decided to head over to see Pierce The Veil's set. They played a really good set, including an amazing cover of Beat It!. And then started talking about how that wierd storm that happened earlier was aliens... haha. Cause apparently we discovered water on mars that day so they said it was Aliens from Mars messing w/ us lol. Then after their set, we decided to go watch Katy Perry. And to be honest, she isn't that good live at all. I like her music, just not her live performance. So we only stayed for like two songs then left the ampitheatre to hang out w/ a few friends we ran into while we were watching her set. So we walked around w/ them for a bit, and while we were walking over this ramp thing there to exit the ampitheatre, we were right above the BBQ/tour busses, and i noticed Travis from WTK walking around so i yelled his name, and tossed my shoe down for him to sign lol. Then he had to throw it back up to me, which took two tries cause it was a pretty far up throw.. But luckily I caught it because it was about to hit some kid in the head. After that, we decided to find my parents because it was like 9:45 and time to leave. So once we found them, we left. Over all it was really fun, and I can't wait till next year!
